Wheelie poppers beware: Bengaluru cops in mufti are watching you
Bengaluru Traffic Police has cracked the whip on unruly bikers who love to pop wheelies, risk their lives and also put others in danger on the outer ring road. Police will summon parents and issue notices to them as in many cases, parents are the owners of the vehicles. Parents will end up losing their licence and also face court cases.
If you don't keep a check on your children taking your bike for a ride, you may land up in court and also face cancellation of your licence as cops have decided to take strict action against unruly bikers.
According to BR Ravikante Gowda, additional commissioner for traffic, the special team has cracked the whip on such bikers and seized close to 15 bikes from the outer ring road.
Gowda says, in many cases, the motorists is not the owner of the vehicle caught in violation but rather the parents and others.
"The parent, who is the owner of the bike will face suspension of driving licences and will also need to face the court," said BR Ravikante Gowda.
