Andhra Pradesh DGP Gautam Sawang salutes woman who offered cold drinks to cops on duty

Amaravathi: Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police Gautam Sawang appreciated a woman who offered cool drinks and extended her generosity towards police who are battling the deadly coronavirus by ensuring people stay indoors.

Lokamani offered cool drinks to the cops on duty on a sunny day at Tuni city in East Godavari. A labourer by profession, Lokamani came to the police patrolling point at Tuni and offered 2 cool drink bottles to cops on duty on Wednesday (April 15). However, the cops refused to have the drinks and asked about the woman's details. Lokamani said she earns only Rs 3,500 per month as her salary and explained the intent behind her actions. The video which went viral reached DGP Sawang and he managed to reach her through a video conference and applauded her effort and saluted her good intention. Lokamani said she felt responsible for those who are working for the safety and health of the people by putting their lives on the line.
