2 held for trying to bury baby alive in Hyderabad

Secunderabad: Two men were on Thursday (October 31) arrested while they were trying to bury an infant alive. The incident occurred close to Jubilee Bus Station in Hyderabad. Meanwhile,  police suspect it to be a case of female infanticide. The accused were spotted by an auto-rickshaw driver around 9 am on Thursday morning when they were digging a pit with a bag in their hands. Suspecting that there was a baby in the bag, the auto-rickshaw driver immediately informed the police.

The police reached the scene and found a baby girl inside the bag. When the police checked the bag, they found the baby alive. The two men were immediately taken into custody. The baby was taken to Gandhi hospital.
