Dalit MP who was stopped from entering village in Tumakuru welcomed with open arms

On September 17, Chitradurga Lok Sabha constituency MP Anekal Narayanaswamy was stopped from entering a village in Tumakuru as he belonged to the Dalit community

Tumakuru: Just a week after he was stopped from entering a village in Tumakuru district of Karnataka, as he belonged to the Dalit community, MP Anekal Narayanaswamy was on Monday (September 23), greeted by the same residents who opposed his entry.

The villagers of Gollarahatti in Pavagada taluk showered flowers and arranged for an orchestra to play during his arrival.

The Chitradurga MP also garlanded him when he returned to the village where he was not allowed to enter on September 17. The village in Tumakuru district falls under Chitradurga Lok Sabha constituency that Narayanaswamy represents.
