Shivarajkumar shares his thoughts on film Om completing 25 years since release

Come May 19, Sandalwood industry will witness a celebration of one of its spectacular films, Om, completing 25 years since its release.

The film was set in the underworld in which protagonist Shivarajkumar is trapped by his love interest, played by actress Prema. She tricks him into getting involved in gang wars as part of revenge for his sister, who becomes a victim at the hands of villains in the film.

 Songs of the film sung by Dr Rajkumar remains a highlight of the Kannada music industry to this day.

 Shivarajkumar felt overwhelmed as Om is set to reach a milestone. He says, the film can be re-released as it can relate to the current generation as well. He felt that the work and effort of Dr Rajkumar will always be remembered through Om's songs.

 He also heaped praise on director Upendra for having portrayed the underworld 25 years ago in a way that it is still relevant today.
