MS Dhoni retires: Coach Ravi Shastri shares special video to pay tribute to Dhoni

Mumbai: Former India all-rounder Ravi Shastri has watched MS Dhoni’s career very closely.  When Dhoni made his debut in 2004, he was in the commentary box. And now when Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on Saturday (Aug 16), he is Indian team's head coach.

 

Mumbai: Former India all-rounder Ravi Shastri has watched MS Dhoni’s career very closely.  When Dhoni made his debut in 2004, he was in the commentary box. And now when Dhoni announced his retirement from international cricket on Saturday (Aug 16), he is Indian team's head coach.

Shastri took to Twitter to join the world in paying tribute to Dhoni. Shastri said it was a privilege and honour to share the dressing room with the wicketkeeper-batsman.

He also shared a video from the final of the 2011 World Cup, where Dhoni hit that famous six to give India their second 50-over World Cup. When Dhoni hit the winning six, Shastri was doing the commentary. Watch the video here.
