Man abuses PM Modi and police, gets kicked and beaten up by cop

A man, in an inebriated state, abused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the local police for the lockdown and restrictions imposed on public movement resulting in closure of liquor shops. To teach the person a lesson, the police thrashed and kicked him.

Bagalkot: A drunkard was beaten black and blue and kicked after he abused PM Modi and the police.

The 21-day lockdown may have caused hardships to the poor and needy as they have lost jobs and are unable to access food. Alcoholics, meanwhile, have been criticising the government for closing liquor shops.

The police officer lost his cool and beat him up in the middle of road. The drunkard is identified as Yamunappa, a resident of Kamatgi village on Bagalkot district, Karnataka.
