Karnataka Congress MLC Narayana Swamy took up ration kits distribution programme by roping in former CM Siddaramaiah. Immediately after the program, Narayan Swamy alleged that ration kits were being diverted and hoarded at few BJP leaders' residences which prompted him to take up ration kits distribution.

However, immediately he said this is not the time to politicise this issue and appealed to CM BS Yediurappa to investigate the matter once the lockdown is lifted.

He said if the MLA gets 100 kits from the state government to be distributed in a particular area, about 50 are given to the poor while the rest is diverted to BJP leaders' houses.

Narayan Swamy said he has distributed about 25,000 ration and 50,000 vegetables kit so far.
