Caterers in PPE kits, serving food to guests make wedding reception video go viral

Andhra Pradesh: A video of caterers serving food wearing PPE kits has gone viral on social media. The wedding took place on July 22 in Mudinepalli village, Andhra Pradesh. Koti Caterers from Gudivada in Krishna District received a contract for a wedding after 3 months. They were asked to prepare around 150-200 plates of meals for the reception.

 The organisers of the wedding, keeping in mind the COVID-19 protocol, asked the caterers to make sure all waiters and staff were wearing PPE kits while maintaining proper hygiene. Their temperatures were also checked, and sanitisers were used. The guests were served dinner by a dozen men wearing PPE kits.

After the wedding, the kits were also disposed of. The state has witnessed a sharp rise in the number of COVID-19 cases and has entered the list of top five worst-hit states in the country.
