Two weeks after she was abducted and assaulted in a moving car, the Malayalam actress posted a message on her Instagram account. In the courageous message, she vowed to overcome the ordeal.

The actress also shared her photo along with the message and wrote "Life had knocked me down a few times, it showed me things I never ever imagined. But I could face all those and will overcome in the future as well."

Life has knocked me down a few times, it showed me things I never wanted to see. I experienced sadness and failures. But one thing for sure, I always get up #ThankYouAll #ForTheLove #ForThePrayers

The post was later shared by actor Prithviraj on his official facebook page.

The actress was abducted and assaulted on February 17 on her way to Kochi from Thrissur. Police have arrested six persons, including prime accused Pulsar Suni, and the actress identified four of them during an identification parade.

Several actors from the industry came forward in her support. Praising her courage, Prithviraj, who is playing the lead role in her next film, announced that the actress had resumed the shooting of her upcoming film Adam. He was the first male celebrity from the industry to voice his support in open.

Though there were reports that the actress would meet the media, the move was called off after police asked her not to.

Meanwhile, Supreme Court issued a direction to Facebook to block any attempts to circulate the videos and images of the actress. Social Justice Bench headed by Justice Madan B Lokur gave the verbal order after a Facebook page claimed to possess the footage and images of the actress in captivity. However, the page disappeared soon after the court order.

A message posted on the Facebook page promised to share the footages of the incident. A phone number was also provided with the post. Advocate Aparna Bhatt who appeared for Prajwala, a Non-governmental Organisation (NGO), brought the Facebook post to courts notice. She was representing the NGO in a petition seeking a curb on the sharing rape videos on social media and initiating steps to check cyber crimes.
