The new service of Kochi Water Metro from High Court Junction to Fort Kochi will start today. The ticket fare of the service is Rs 40.

The Bengaluru Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has launched a comprehensive passenger satisfaction survey in collaboration with Imperial College London. Conducted from August to May, the survey aims to gather feedback to enhance the metro experience and address congestion issues. Commuters can participate via the official website or QR codes at metro stations.

Namma Metro in Bengaluru plans to introduce 20 new trains by the end of 2024 to alleviate rush hour congestion. Despite a recent ridership increase, delayed train deliveries and last-mile connectivity issues hinder the system's efficiency. With only 57 operational trains and a need for at least 73, the augmentation aims to improve urban mobility.

The third phase of the Bengaluru Metro project, spanning 44.65 km from JP Nagar to Kadabagere, is set to commence by late 2024 pending central government approval. The project, estimated at ₹15611 crore, has seen preparatory works by BMRCL, including land acquisition. Changes in train lengths and station layouts have been made to align with Union Ministry directives.
