Kuchuguththi Maramma temple manager’s wife arrested in food poisoning case

Around 15 people died after eating the prasad which was given in the temple while 104 were hospitalised in Mysuru and Tamil Nadu’s Salem

In a shocking turn of events in Kuchuguththi Maramma temple prasad poisoning case in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar, the police officials have alleged that the wife of the temple's manager committed the crime. Around 15 people died after consuming the prasad while 104 were hospitalised in Mysuru and Salem in Tamil Nadu. The accused has been identified as Ambika, who is the wife of Kuchuguththi Maramma temple manager, Madesh.

According to reports, Ambika received the instructions to contaminate the temple food with pesticides from a junior seer of a prominent Mata.
