Karnataka Elections 2018: Congresswoman denied ticket, hundreds of chairs broken, damaged

Supporters of Gayathri Shanthegowda in Chikkamagalur, Karnataka, went on a rampage and broke all the chairs as their leader's name did not appear in the first list of candidates released by the Congress ahead of Karnataka Assembly Election. Hundreds of chairs kept at the Congress Office in Chikkamagalur, were damaged, thanks to the anger of Gayathri's supporters. They even laid siege to the district president of the party.
