Coronavirus scare: Monkeys of rival gangs fight over food

As the novel coronavirus continues to spread across the world, governments of respective countries have urged their nationals to avoid public gatherings to stop spreading the virus. Now, it looks like even animals have not been spared.

According to a media report, COVID-19 might be the reason behind a gang war between groups of monkeys in central Thailand.

A video has emerged on social media in which many monkeys are seen crowding the streets and clashing with each other over food. Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer Parveen Kaswan shared this video on his Twitter handle. 

In the video, one can see hundreds of monkeys crossing a road following a monkey that had a banana. The screams of many monkeys can be heard in the video.
