Relief for Gadag district as COVID-19 patient 304 walks home after recovery

COVID-19 patient (P-304) was greeted by hospital staff and officials after she recovered. The deputy commissioner, CEO, SP, DHO and district surgeon clapped and gave the patient a hero’s welcome for stepping out of the COVID-19 ward.

The patient was honoured with a silk saree and was given a grocery kit. The patient in return thanked officials with folded hands and expressed her gratitude to hospital staff for taking care of her and giving her back her life.

The patient from Ranganwadi was subjected to tests after an aged patient contracted the infection from a COVID-19 patient from Goa, who was at a house function at Gadag at the end of March. The patient 304 tested positive for COVID-19 on April 16.
