Karnataka minister's humane act wins hearts, hands over Rs 1L cheque to accident victim

After learning about a government school student meeting with an accident and gaining treatment at NIMHANS for her injuries, Education Minister S Suresh Kumar paid a surprise visit and handed over a cheque of 1 lakh to the girl.

Yashyesvini was heading to appear for an exam and was hit by a KSRTC bus, she was immediately rushed to the hospital. Amidst the ongoing session, the Minister took time to come and meet the family.

Upon the request from the girl that the minister should visit her school, Suresh Kumar assured that, once she recovers and goes to school, he would visit.

The girl's father is a security guard at a private firm and the family is facing difficulty. After learning about this fact, the minister decided to give a cheque from his department for treatment and also assured all the help.
