Karnataka Civil Defence Corps turns hunger saviour for poor amid coronavirus lockdown
Over 100 civil defence volunteers distributed food packets to the poor across Bengaluru on bikes amid coronavirus lockdown.
Bengaluru: Civil defence Corps of Karnataka played a pivotal role in providing food, medicine and other facilities to the needy people in Bengaluru amid the coronavirus lockdown. Over 100 volunteers along with the help of police distributed food to the poor across the city. The volunteers on bikes carried 100 food packets each and delivered it in various parts of Bengaluru. Not just feeding the poor, the volunteers paid for fuel out of their own pockets to go around distributing food in Bengaluru. The food distribution programme was conducted under the leadership of air commodore Lalit Kumar Jain.
