Karnataka by-election: Scrap dealer caught for selling arrack by intelligent residents

On the pretext of collecting old items, newspapers and scrap material, a shopkeeper had allegedly been selling arrack and marijuana next to a temple in LB Shastri Nagar in HAL Police Station limits. Despite warning and complaints to police, the shop owner did not budge.

Despite warnings and complaints to police a scrap dealer continued to sell arrack. However, today he was caught red-handed. Residents of LB Shastri Nagar who were waiting for the opportunity decided to lay siege to the shop. Police and election officers who were busy preparing for polls in Presidency School which is just 50 meters away swung into action as public gathered.  Narayan, the shop owner, was taken into custody and later taken to the police station.
