Bengaluru: Buckling under pressure and criticism, Karnataka government resumed Shramik special trains operation on May 8. This initiative brought great relief to the stranded migrant labourers in the state. Bengaluru witnessed celebrations across labour colonies after the government resumed trains for migrants. The labourers said they were delighted and expressed gratitude to the Karnataka Government, AITCCU, Swaraj India and all who worked relentlessly to make this happen.
