PM Narendra Modi to meet US President Joe Biden on September 24
This will also be the first-ever in-person bilateral meeting with the two leaders since the new administration took charge in the United States in January this year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be meeting United States President Joe Biden on September 24 during which a range of issues of mutual interest, Indo-Pacific and the situation in Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover would be discussed.
The bilateral talks will be held on the sidelines of the QUAD Leaders' Summit on the same day.

During the meeting, heads of QUAD nations -- India, Australia, Japan and the United States -- will be meeting in person for the first time.
The White House on Monday confirmed that President Joe Biden will meet his Prime Minister Modi on September 24.
This will also be the first-ever in-person bilateral meeting with the two leaders since the new administration took charge in the United States in January this year.

PM Modi will be travelling to the United States this week. during his US visit, the Prime Minister will hold bilateral talks with Japanese Prime Minister Suga Yoshihide and Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison. He will also be taking part in the United Nations General Assembly on September 25.
According to experts, China's growing influence in the Indo-Pacific region and the current situation in war-torn Afghanistan would headline the agenda during the QUAD meeting.
Prior to this visit, Prime Minister Modi has visited the United States five times since he became the prime minister in 2014.
