Tamil Desiya Peramaippu (TDP) has alleged stars Darshan, Upendra and Puneeth of provoking people to protest against Tamil Nadu Case has been filed by P Ilangovan, the founding member of the TDP Association Reacting strongly KFCC President Sa Ra Govindu has said, if this is true, we will file a case against the entire Tamil film industry

A case has been booked against the Kannada stars in a Tamil Nadu court, accusing them of making provocative statements during the bandh held in Karnataka on September 9 against the release of the Cauvery river water to Tamil Nadu.
Darshan, Upendra and Puneeth have been accused of provoking people to protest against Tamil Nadu, alleges the Tamil Desiya Peramaippu Association.
The case has been filed by P Ilangovan, the founding member of the Association, at the second judicial magistrate court in Coimbatore.
According to sources, the complaint states that necessary action should be initiated against the above said actors for treason, violence and inciting people to riot.
Reacting strongly to the news, Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce (KFCC) President Sa Ra Govindu said, "If this is true, we will file a case against the entire Tamil film industry."
“We have not got any evidence about the case filed against Upendra, Darshan and Puneeth in Tamil Nadu. If this is true, then we will file a case against the entire Tamil film actors for their provocative speeches during Hogenakal issue and now the Cauvery issue,” said Govindu.
“First, let Tamil actors stop giving provocative speeches. The government should control the way some Tamil actors are reacting to the Cauvery issue,” he said.
