Superstitions are making a come back, says Pinarayi Vijayan "We need to recall the values of renaissance" Pinarayi Vijayan was addressing Independence Day parade at Thiruvananthapuram.
Make sure that educational institutions and places of worships do not mislead your children to terrorist dens, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan warned in his Independence Day address on Monday at Thiruvananthapuram. He was referring to the threat of terror networks that are secretly expanding tentacles deep into the society.

Divisions over caste and religion are on the rise. Superstitions are also making a comeback, Vijayan said at the Independence Day parade at Central Stadium, Thiruvananthapuram. "We need to uphold the renaissance values to counter the superstitious and caste divisions," he added.
Independence Day celebrations were held in the morning on Monday at Raj Bhavan and district headquarters in Kerala. Governor P Sathasivam hoisted the Tricolour at the Raj Bhavan in the morning.
