Indian politicians and their 'Oops' moments
Â
Broke-back Suresh Angadi
Karnataka Member of Parliament Suresh Angadi was in for a shock when one of his fans rushed him while shouting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai'.
Â
The BJP MP then found himself being lifted bodily off the ground, only to be promptly dropped like a sack of potatoes. Clearly the good legislator was far heavier than his fan expected.
Â
The determined local leader/ fan is not disillusioned by the fall however and immediately tried again, accomplishing his mission.

The swooning saga of Supriya Sule
Â
It looks like Mumbai's heat took such a toll on Member of Parliament Supriya Sule that she fainted right after her speech on April 17, last year.
Â
Campaigning for Suman Patil, widow of former Deputy Chief Minister RR Patil, Supriya looked fine while addressing the audience. But she toppled over a few minutes later, apparently from heat exhaustion.

Â
Truth falls out of mouth: ND Tiwari
Â
The father of many controversies, former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh ND Tiwari once had his false teeth pop out as he was addressing the media.
Â
Â
Incidentally, Tiwari was accused in a sex scandal, married again at the age of 88 and had a 25-year-old son to who later fought a protracted legal battle to gain his legal rights.
Â
Truth sometimes does pop out Mr Tiwari, whether you like it or not.
Â
Oops...Poonamben in ditch
Â
On May 16, 2016, Member of Parliament Poonamben had been arguing with local leaders in Mumbai. The heated argument went a bit too far when she dropped into a sewage channel.
Â
As it turned out, the footbridge she was standing on collapsed. Momentarily stunned, the angry leader soon started panicking and was seen shouting for help.
Â
All was well in a few minutes when they fished her out. Shall we call a side-effect of the power of her words?

Â
‘Grounded’ Gadkari
Â
BJP leader Nitin Gadkari and other leaders of the BJP made a true connection the land when the stage they were seated on abruptly collapsed. This literal 'ground touch' happened in February 2011.
