Even as the tussle between the makers of 'Udtha Punjab' and the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) refuses to die down at the national level, the FEFKA (Film Employees Federation Of Kerala) has come up against the State Censor Board for refusing certificate to Malayalam movie 'Kathakali.'

The Board had suggested that the makers of 'Kathakali' delete the climax scene where the artist walks away nude after shedding the Kathakali costumes on the banks of a river. The Board wanted the nudity removed for allowing 'unrestricted' viewing.
FEFKA directors' union has decided to approach the Kerala High Court against the Censor Board's decision and on Thursday, FEFKA president Kamal held discussions with legal expert Dr Sebastian Paul regarding the matter.
The film, directed by Saijo Kannanaikkal, has been nominated to many film festivals outside the country. The filmmaker also posted the video of the scene on Youtube which the Censor Board wanted to cut.
