Usman, a native of Kerala's Malappuram, received a fraudulent call requesting an OTP for a KYC update, resulting in a loss of Rs 4,07,053 from his account. The commission ordered the ESAF bank to reimburse the lost amount and pay Rs 50,000 as compensation, highlighting the bank's negligence in safeguarding customer funds.

Abdul Salam, a former vice chancellor of Calicut University, is the BJP's nominee for the Malappuram Lok Sabha election in 2024.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Over 2000 complaints of Model Code of Conduct violations have been reported from Malappuram district alone in Kerala.

In Kozhikode district, temperatures may soar up to 38 degrees Celsius, while in Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kannur, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Malappuram, and Kasaragod districts, the maximum temperature may reach up to 36 degrees Celsius.
