Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Monday confirmed that a Crime Investigation Department (CID) probe will be carried out in the murder case of Neha Hiremath, the daughter of Hubballi Congress corporator who was killed in a brutal case of stabbing by classmate Fayaz Khondunaik. 

Niranjan Hiremath, the father of Neha Hiremath, who was tragically murdered in Hubballi, Karnataka, has demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe, claiming that the local police are attempting to "divert" the case.

Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah and Home Minister Dr. G. Parameshwara assure safety after bomb threats in 15 schools. The leaders promise rigorous investigations and enhanced security measures. Dr. Parameshwara contacts police officials, emphasizing serious probes into the threats. He pledges to prevent such incidents' recurrence, comforting parents and kids amid the unsettling situation.

Three Muslim students, who were allegedly involved in a filming incident at a local paramedical college in Karnataka's Udupi district, have been granted conditional bail by a local court. The students had allegedly recorded a video of a Hindu student in the restroom using a mobile phone. Meanwhile, the case continues to take political twists with Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara seeming to questioning the National Commission for Women's visit and wondered if the incident that happened in Udupi was that big a deal.

Karnataka government formation: On Thursday, Congress officially announced the name of the chief ministerial and deputy chief ministerial face, thus ending days of suspense. Congress leaders Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar were chosen to be chief minister and deputy chief minister respectively.

BJP's IT cell head Amit Malviya said a sorry state of affairs prevails in Congress where president Mallikarjun Kharge sees himself more as a "postman". "Want to watch circus? Watch the Congress select their CM in Karnataka," he said on Twitter.

In the May 10 elections to the 224-member Karnataka assembly, the Congress won 135 seats, while the ruling BJP and the former prime minister HD Deve Gowda-led Janata Dal (Secular) secured 66 and 19, respectively.

After receiving 81598 votes in the Karnataka election of 2018, INC candidate Dr. G. Parameshwara won the Koratagere Assembly seat. By a margin of 7619 votes, the INC candidate defeated P.R. Sudhakar Lal of the JD(S).

After taking charge as Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, DK Shivakumar is now busy meeting a list of Congress leaders at their residence. The leader met Krishnappa and Ramalinga Reddy at their homes in a bid to revive the Congress unit.

Nataraj Sharma, the president of Janmabhoomi Foundation, claimed that former Karnataka deputy chief minister G Parameshwara's deemed-to-be-university had sold as many as 16 seats that were allocated to the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) for merit students in the state. Each seat costs anywhere between Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1.35 crore.

Just days after the residence of former Karnataka deputy chief minister G Parameshwara was raided by the Income Tax department, his aide Ramesh was found hanging from a tree. 
 

Income Tax officials conducted raids at several locations that were linked to former Karnataka deputy chief minister G Parameshwara
