The Mavelikkara Additional District Sessions Court Judge SS Seena pronounced the sentence and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh.

. The investigation revealed that the list was leaked to the WhatsApp group by the officer. The officer stated that the list given as a PDF for flexing was mistakenly sent to another group.

The Kerala High Court on Thursday (April 25) issued a stay order on the state government's notification to expedite land acquisition for the proposed Sabarimala airport. The order came in response to a plea filed by Ayana Charitable Trust, arguing against the legality of the notification and claiming undisputed ownership of the Cheruvally estate designated for the airport construction.
 

As voters prepare to cast their ballots, 194 candidates are vying for seats across 20 constituencies in the state. With 2.77 crore voters expected to participate, polling will take place across 25,231 booths. Meanwhile, the IMD has warned that there is a possibility of heat waves in the Palakkad district and that the temperature will rise in 11 districts.

Nimisha Priya, a Malayali nurse, was sentenced to death in Yemen over murder charges in 2017. She was convicted of murdering Yemeni national Talal Abdo Mahdi. Yemen's Supreme Court earlier rejected Nimisha Priya's appeal plea against the death sentence.

The Mananthavady police arrested the accused in connection with the murder of an elderly couple at Panamaram in Wayanad district last September. Kesavan, a retired school teacher, and his wife Padmavathy were murdered by the accused on July 10, 2021.
