Union Minister and BJP-NDA candidate from Thiruvananthapuram, Rajeev Chandrasekhar shed light on his development plans in the next five years. While speaking to Asianet News on Friday (April 26), he also spoke about the negative politics of the Opposition parties.

The second phase of the Lok Sabha elections will see 89 seats across 13 states going to polls. All eyes will be on the high-profile seats of Wayanad and Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala as well as Mathura and Meerut in Uttar Pradesh.
 

In the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections Phase 2, Kerala is voting in a single phase, with high-profile contests expected in seats like Wayanad, Thiruvananthapuram, and Thrissur. Voting commenced at 7 am today (April 26).

Lok Sabha elections 2024 are underway and on April 26, as many as 89 constituencies spread across 13 states and Union Territories (UTs) will vote in the Phase 2 of the general elections. 

Among the prominent contestants in Phase 2 are Union minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar contesting from Thiruvananthapuram, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi from Wayanad, BJP's Hema Malini from Mathura, former Karnataka chief minister HD Kumaraswamy from Mandya, and BJP's Tejasvi Surya from Bangalore South.

Four people were stabbed in a clash during a birthday party in Thiruvananthapuram. The Kazhakkottam police have registered and started an investigation into the matter. The police are also investigating the cause of the conflict.

A seven-year-old boy was brutally assaulted by his stepfather in Thiruvananthapuram. His mother who did not attempt to stop the assault was also arrested by the police.
