Shayamaprasad Nivin Pauly Nana allegation

Director Shyamaprasad has come to the rescue of actor Nivin Pauly following allegations that the actor did not allow the photographer of a prominent film magazine to take his pictures.

Nivin is currently doing Shayamaprasad flick 'Hey-Jude' and was alleged to have turned down a photographer, who approached him for photographs. The magazine also wrote on social media that they felt pitty for the director for surrendering before an actor like Nivin Pauly who is a curse to the industry.

However, the director himself has now come up with an explanation, and in a Facebook post, he said that he decided to respond as the media was targeting an actor without any reason.

"We had decided that the first look of the film must be int he way we had decided. Nivin too was aware of that. We had also circulated five or six select looks of the actor in the film among media.

I had no issue with covering the shooting set. However, no one should take the pics of actors without their permission. I am not interested in sending out pics that might not relate to the character or the film.

This might be the reason why Nivin said no to the photographer. However, I don't have time to manage the media in between film shooting, and it is also not my job.

I don't think that a magazine is coming to cover a film set to promote the cinema, but it is in their business interest. Under such situations, it is likely that we might have some difference of opinion. So there is no meaning in the claims that the actor did not allow media persons to do their work. It is also not right to target a particular actor and call him curse and danger to film industry.

Magazines are in no way different from the directors and producers who make money from star value. So no one should speak wearing a nimbus. What I felt funny is that the same magazine took three four photos of the film and did a cover page and four-page long report on it. It was only after publishing the report that they started blaming the actor," the director said.
