Pulsar Suni, the prime accused in the Kochi actress attack case and currently imprisoned in the Kakkanad district jail, has asked for a book about prison break among other things.

While Suni's family visited him in the jail on Saturday, he asked his sister to get him a copy of Papillon, an autobiography by French murder convict Henri Charriere, which details his escape from a prison farm.

Suni's intention to ask for this particular book is still unknown. It seems unlikely that he is a person who enjoys reading books during free time. On the other hand, Suni planning to pull off a similar escape from the Kakkanad jail looks impossible as well.

Suni is known for his antics and there is a possibility that he asked for the book to keep the jail authorities and the police guessing. He got the probe team off his tail and had them running after Dileep for the last two weeks after he gave a statement saying he attacked the actress after getting a "quotation" from the actor.

Papillon is Charriere's nickname, deriving from a butterfly tattoo inscribed on his chest. The novel details Papillon's incarceration and subsequent escape from the penal colony of French Guiana during the 1930s.

The book, first published in 1969, was the no.1 bestseller in France for years. It later achieved widespread fame and critical acclaim, and is now considered a modern-day classic.
