Goa government rejects State’s offer to settle Mahadayi dispute outside court Says it will not hold talks outside court and will not negotiate Goa also accuses Karnataka of playing a double game
An offer made by State Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to Goa government to settle the Mahadayi (Kalasa - Banduri) dispute out of court has been rejected by the Goa Water Resources Ministry on Thursday. The reply came within one day after the State Chief Minister wrote to Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, reports Kannada Prabha.

A statement issued by the Goa Water Resources Minister Vinod Palyekar says “Goa will not hold talks outside court with regard to Mahadayi dispute, we will not agree for any negotiation. This is our official stand. However, we will talk about Siddaramaiah’s letter with the Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.” The letter also accused that “Karnataka is playing a double game.”
