Bommanahalli: Independents to dent JDS and Congress vote banks and pave way for BJP MLA Satish Reddy's hat-trick

Bommanahalli's MLA Satish Reddy from BJP has struck a chord with voters. Congress candidate Sushma Rajgopal Reddy and JDS Prasad Gowda have little chance to upset him. While Sushma is banking on her husband Rajgopal Reddy's social activities like mass weddings, giving utensils and distribution of food grains to poor in Bengaluru South, Prasad Gowda is hopeful that his clean and humble image and belonging from the Vokkaliga community will help him. In Bomannahalli, Vokkaligas are deciding factor as there over 1.40 lakh voters belonging to the community and Reddy's contribute to 40,000 voters in number. Independent candidates like Dr Anil Kumar, who hails from Kerala and is settled in Bommanahalli, has managed to gain some brand name as 'namma chaiwala' with his story of rags to riches and MEP candidate Sheik Imran also has managed to attract the crowd. These candidates are said to be poaching only JDS and Congress votes and Satish Reddy who is said to have used his money and muscle power in the past is likely to come back to power as he managed to use this power intelligently and is quite popular with all the sections.
