The Bengaluru CCB police, who arrested three Pakistani nationals along with a Keralite from Kumaraswamy Layout last month, are not ready to buy the 'love story' theory. The cops say the couple making the claim are not able to join the missing dots in their story yet. Also, the police are yet to verify their background in Pakistan. The sleuths are taking the help of Central intelligence agencies to do so, reports Kannada Prabha.

"So far, there has been no clue to establish even their remote connection to any terror-backed organisations in Pakistan. But we are not ready to their love story theory on its face value," said S Ravi, Additional Police Commissioner, told Kannada Prabha.

Three Pakistani nationals - Sameera, Kiran Ghulam Ali and Khashif Shamsuddin - were arrested for illegally staying in Kumaraswamy Layout. The police had also arrested Mohammed Sihab, a native of Kerala, for allegedly helping them reach India.

During their 14-day police custody, police discovered that even after they moved to Bengaluru, the Pakistani nationals were in constant touch with some Pakistanis back home. So, the police are digging deep into the case.

Meanwhile, it is not yet clear that whether Sihab and Sameera were actually a couple. For, during the investigation, police found that Sameera was allegedly already married in Pakistan before she met Sihab and married him later in Qatar. This piece of information is quite contradictory to their earlier statement - that Sameera and Sihab met in Qatar, fell in love and married much against the wishes of Sameera's parents.

Originally, the couple stated that Sameera's family took her back to Pakistan after they heard about her affair with Sihab. Later, Sameera with the help of her relatives Kiran and Khashif contacted Sihab and moved illegally to Bengaluru from Kathmandu. Now, with the new information about Sameera's alleged previous marriage in Pakistan, the police feel there are too many loopholes in their story.

It may be recalled here that Sihab had brought them to Bengaluru and they were all staying in a rented house at Kumaraswamy Layout. The arrested also had managed to get Aadhaar cards after Dr CS Nagalakshamma, a government hospital doctor helped them in verifying their documents. The doctor from KC General Hospital in Malleswaram has been suspended since then.
