Modi has used the word so many times in his speeches and while addressing large gatherings that it has become his pet phrase. And while the word essentially means ‘friends’, the events that unfolded since November have not made it an ideal environment to consider the public as pals.

The beauty of language is such that any word which when repeatedly used to refer to a particular phenomenon or event, it becomes valid, at least in public parlance. It gains further popularity if it enters the dictionary.

The Prime Minister’s New Year Eve Speech on December 31, 7.30pm was a highly awaited one. People were finally hoping for an end to demonetisation and a report on how the country fared thanks to this move.

A bar in New Delhi, Social Offline pub, sought to make some quick bucks and here’s their absolutely creative idea.  A new drinking game was announced where every time Modi said the word ‘Mitron’ on screen, the pub would offer a pint of beer or a shot of liquor for ₹31 at all their outlets in the national capital.
