Several airlines, including Air India, Akasa Air, and Indigo, have issued travel advisories urging passengers to arrive at airports three hours prior to departure due to increased security measures.

Several airlines, including Air India, Akasa Air and Indigo, issued statements to passengers requesting them to arrive three hours early as Centre stepped up security at all airports amid the ongoing attack by Pakistan.

A travel advisory has been issued by Air India due to the escalating escalation between Pakistani and Indian soldiers. The airline has requested that travelers arrive at airports three hours prior to the scheduled departure time.

“In view of an order by the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security on enhanced measures at airports, passengers across India are advised to arrive at their respective airports at least three hours prior to scheduled departure to ensure smooth check-in and boarding. Check-in closes 75 mins before departure," the Air India advisory said.

Additionally, travelers were advised by Akasa Air to report three hours before to the scheduled departure time. "To guarantee a smooth check-in and boarding process, we ask that you be at the airport at least three hours before departure due to increased security procedures at all Indian airports. To get admission to the airport, please make sure you have legitimate, officially recognized picture identity documents with you. You can only bring one handbag, up to 7 kg in weight, in addition to your checked luggage. All passengers will have to go through supplementary security checks before boarding in accordance with statutory requirements," the alert stated.

“To save time, we encourage you to check-in online on http://akasaair.com or our mobile app. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding and look forward to welcoming you aboard the Akasa experience," it added.

All passengers are also advised to carry valid government-approved photo identification documents for entry to the airport. All passengers will be required to undergo secondary security checks before boarding.

Meanwhile, social media posts that erroneously assert that entry to airports throughout India is prohibited have been warned by the Press Information Bureau. It said that the administration had not made such a decision and marked the assertions as false.

India foils Pakistan's attempts

According to the Defence Ministry, India quickly stopped Pakistan's attempts to use drones and missiles to strike many important Indian assets, including military bases in Jammu, Pathankot, and Udhampur.
