Close to 93 years, the comrade dubbed as the 'Fidel Castro of Kerala,' is set to make his movie debut soon! And no prices for guessing his role. The former chief minister of Keralas is going play himself on screen in a campus movie.

The movie titled 'Campus Diary' is a collective effort of members of Drishya arts club based in Koothuparamba in Kannur. The plot begins with political enmity and poster war between two student groups who later learn that their posters were torn not by rival gangs but a hungry 'cow'.

Tracing the animal, the students reach a village, which is almost on the edge of losing its only water resource. They find that the natural course of the river is diverted to a water bottling plant. The students then spearhead an agitation and VS Achuthanandan visits the area to declare his support for their struggle.

The movie also has a long list of stars that includes state award winner Sudev Nair, Mamukkoya, Joy Mathew and Gautami Nair.
