Israel-Palestine conflict: US plans to send Iron Domes to Israel, positions fighter jets; check details
It is reportedly said that the US Army will supply around 312 interceptors, which will be sent along with the necessary launch equipment. This support will bolster Israel's air defense systems at a time of increased security concerns in the region.
The Pentagon is sending F-16 fighter jets and two batteries of Iron Dome air defense systems to Israel to enhance the country's air defense capabilities. This decision was confirmed by a defense official who spoke on the condition of anonymity regarding an impending announcement.
The Department of Defense is currently making arrangements to provide Israel with two US Army batteries, although the official did not disclose the logistics of how this equipment would be transported or the timeline for its arrival. Each missile battery consists of three to four launchers and radar, which can protect an area of approximately 60 square miles (155 square kilometers). The Iron Dome batteries are mobile and, as of mid-2021, Israel had ten of them deployed throughout the country, according to Raytheon Technologies.
Israel-Hamas war: US preparing for possible mass evacuation if situation escalates, says report
It is reportedly said that the US Army will supply around 312 interceptors, which will be sent along with the necessary launch equipment. This support will bolster Israel's air defense systems at a time of increased security concerns in the region.
Simultaneously, the United States is making preparations for a potential mass evacuation of hundreds of thousands of American citizens from the Middle East if the ongoing conflict in Gaza escalates further. The situation has prompted concerns in the Biden administration, which, despite its public support for Israel, is deeply alarmed by the possibility of a larger conflict.
This heightened concern stems from the recent cross-border attack by Hamas militants, which claimed over 1,400 lives on October 7. As the US provides military support and advice to Israeli troops in preparation for a possible ground invasion against Hamas, the administration is grappling with the logistical challenges of relocating a large number of Americans from the region should the situation worsen.

The primary source of concern in Lebanon is Hezbollah, a terrorist organization with a significant presence in the country. Hezbollah holds a majority of legislative seats and has long received training and armaments from Iran. There are fears that, in the event of an escalation, Iran might initiate hostilities from the north, potentially forcing Israeli forces to confront threats on multiple fronts.
