Ranveer Allahbadia moves Supreme Court against multiple FIRs against him in India's Got Latent case
Content creator and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia has moved Supreme Court against multiple FIRs filed against him in 'India's Got Latent' case.

Content creator and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia, popularly known as Beer Biceps, has moved the Supreme Court against multiple FIRs filed against him in different states in 'India's Got Latent case'. Ranveer Allahbadia's 'vulgur joke' on YouTuber Samay Raina's show had triggered massive outrage.
Allahbadia, who had over 16 million followers across social media platforms before the row, drew ire after a video of his controversial comments on intimacy between parents led to a massive debate on freedom of speech and what constitutes decency.
A short clip from the show, which went viral, showed Allahbadia asking a contestant, "Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join in once and stop it forever."
Though Allahbadia issued a video apology, calling his comment a "lapse in judgement". Raina deleted all episodes of the show "India's Got Latent" from YouTube, and said he will fully cooperate with the probe, but the issue was far from defused.
The Maharashtra Cyber Department had summoned more than 40 persons, asking them to join the probe into the case. The 40 people included participants and judges from the previous episodes of the show.
Dr Abhinav Chandrachud mentioned the matter before Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna today. He said that it was a petition under Article 32 of the Constitution.
As of date, FIRs have been registered by the Maharashtra Police, Cyber cell and Assam Police over the statement.
In 2024, Allahbadia was presented the Disruptor of the Year award at the National Creators Award by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
