Vijay's Leo overtakes Leonardo DiCaprio's Killers Of The Flower Moon across the globe - READ
It is an exciting news update for fans of globally loved pan-Indian South superstar Thalapathy Vijay. Vijay and Trisha Krishnan starrer actioner-thriller film Leo, helmed by maverick South director Lokesh Kanagaraj and a part of the Lokesh Cinematic Universe (LCU), has defeated globally eminent icon Leonardo DiCaprio starrer Killers Of The Flower Moon. Leo has scored $48.5 million after four days since its release.

It is not a drill. Lokesh Kanagaraj directed actioner-thriller Tamil film Leo, starring Vijay in the lead role, totally dominating the global box office. The film has even left behind Martin Scorcese-directed Killers Of The Flower Moon (starring Leonardo DiCaprio), reports Variety. According to Variety, the film has managed to collect $48.5 million (after four days), while Killers Of The Flower Moon has garnered $44 million. "In terms of worldwide cumulative among new releases, Leo scored $48.5 million (after four days) compared with the $44 million earned by Killers of the Flower Moon," read an excerpt from a Variety report.

The report also stated, "In the US, Leo got released by Prathyangira Cinemas and earned $2.1 million over the weekend. In the U.K. and Ireland, it got released by Ahimsa Entertainment and collected £1.07 million ($1.3 million) in its first three days of release."
Besides Vijay, Leo also features Sanjay Dutt and Trisha, along with Arjun Sarja, Madonna Sebastian, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Mysskin, Mansoor Ali Khan, George Maryan, Priya Anand and Mathew Thomas. The film marks Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj's second collaboration after Master, which was released in 2021.
Leo is part of 'Lokesh Cinematic Universe' (LCU) of exemplary filmmaker Lokesh Kanagaraj, which includes Karthi-led Kaithi and Vikram, headlined by film veteran Kamal Haasan.
Killers Of The Flower Moon also premiered Out of Competition at the 76th Cannes Film Festival. Directed by Martin Scorsese, the film stars Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Lily Gladstone, Jesse Plemons, and Brendan Fraser in pivotal roles.
