The Ghazi Attack
That’s when S-21, another submarine was sent out to stop Ghazi. It was a classified mission that no one knew about.
While Indian Navy has alleged that PNS Ghazi exploded as it collided with its landmines. Till date, the truth remains hidden.
Here we have 5 reasons why The Ghazi Attack is a movie to look out for:
Robust cast: When a movie stars Rana Daggubati, Taapsee Pannu, Atul Kulkarni, Om Puri, Nassar and Kay Kay Menon, half the job is done. All are from different film industries and acting schools; they complement each other perfectly. Atul Kulkarni and Kay Kay’s dialogue deliveries are a must watch. And how can one forget Rana and Taapsee's awesome chemistry? Kay Kay Menon’s role is likely to hog the limelight, beneath all that bravado and cheekiness, there was a grieving father who never forgot his son’s death.
Director: Sankalp Reddy’s effort is commendable to bring the true story on a silver screen, and he has struck gold with his first film itself. Given the scale of his ambitious project and limited resources at hand, Sankalp earns a pat on the back for making an engaging film.
Visuals and Special Effects: The second half of the film keeps you on the edge of your seat as the submarines go head-to-head, firing torpedoes while dodging and defending themselves. The jaws dropped scenes with a breathtaking backdrop and the fact that it was shot inside a submarine. The movie leaves you in awe of the soldiers, who lay their lives for their country.
The Ghazi Attack
An untold true story: It’s a classified mission that took place just before the 1971 Indo-Pak war broke out. A Pakistani submarine PNS Ghazi had set out to destroy INS Vikrant. The Indian Navy started a hush-hush mission that exploded Ghazi. Navies from both sides have different versions to tell. Till date, the real reason is not known.
Cinematography: Madhi has created magic with the vast endless blue sea and a submarine. From the first scene where they show a panoramic view of the sea sets the excitement for this movie. After that, the underwater scenes, the explosions and the insides of the submarine are enough to set your heart racing.
The movie will also be released in Telugu and dubbed in Tamil.
