Like in previous cases of celebrities and famous personalities declared dead by rumours and fake news, WhatsApp message forwards never seem to move away from this trend. The latest victims of such rumours are fans and family of legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam.
Immediate family members of legendary singer SP Balasubramaniam and his fans all over the world were left shocked as the singer’s obituary was floated, thanks to rumours spread by WhatsApp forward university.
Mischief mongers who forwarded these messages created panic amongst many.

The image of the legendary singer was taken and a message saying
"Bhavapoorna Shradaanjali" SP Balasubramanyam, Indian's famous playback singer.

The message is spreading like wildfire with a few, however, having the sense to call it out for being fake.
The singer's son had recently asked people not to spread rumours about the singer and said his father is still at the hospital and receiving treatment.
As per reports, the singer who was diagnosed with COVID-19 is on Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) support and kept in the ICU.
