Chris Cairns on life support following health complications: Reports
Chris Cairns is a former New Zealand all-rounder who was allegedly involved in match-fixing. Meanwhile, he has been put on life support after suffering health complications in Canberra.
Former New Zealand all-rounder Chris Cairns has suffered a significant health complication as he has been put on life support at a Canberra hospital on Tuesday. The 51-year-old has earlier underwent several heart-related operations but did not correctly respond to them.
As per Newshub, he has an aortic dissection in the heart, a condition he had suffered last week. It is a type of tear in the main artery of the body.

As of now, the players' union of New Zealand was unavailable for comment. Meanwhile, a spokesperson from New Zealand Cricket said that the board respected his right to privacy, refusing to comment anything.
Cairns had represented NZ across formats between 1989 to 2006. He was primarily effective in the One-Day Internationals, scoring 4,950 runs in 215 matches at an average of 29.5 and had a strike rate of 84.3. He also scored 3,320 runs in 62 Tests at an average of 33.5.
