Why YouTube’s 'Trends Map' was far better than 'Trending'?

YouTube Trends Map

YouTube has recently done away with it one of the most useful features 'Trends Map' that showed the user interests across the globe based on age, gender, region and shares.

The feature not only showed the user interest across the world but also helped the users to keep a tab on the trending videos of their particular interest.

YouTube launched the Trends Map in 2013 based on the popular suggestions given by the users.

During the launch of Trends Map, YouTube said, "The Trends Map is the result of all the great feedback you’ve given us from the Trends Dashboard, as we keep working to help you find great videos and channels on YouTube."

After, Trends Map was removed from YouTube, a new feature 'Trending', which only shows the trending videos based on the users' previous search pattern, was launched in its replacement.

The 'Trending' option, which looks quite unorganised, doesn’t look much helpful as it doesn’t show trending videos bifurcated by the age, gender or region, which makes it complicated for the user to follows the regional, national or global or any such trends.
