The past couple of days we've been hearing about how a 16-year old boy will be drawing 4 lakh salary per month as a trainee, making the rest of us feel poorer than we are. However, there is a new twist in the tale.

The UT administration’s public relations department had released a statement about Harshit Sharma, a Class 12 student from Government Model Senior Secondary School (GMSSS), Sector 33, who has bagged an offer from Google. He would be drawing Rs 4 lakh per month, and 12 lakh per month post training. It was amounting to about 1.44 crore a year.

However, a report by The Indian Express, citing a Google spokesperson, claims that the company doesn’t have any information about Harshit Sharma’s candidacy.

Meanwhile, an enquiry has also been ordered by Chandigarh administration. Chandigarh Director of School Education Rubinderjit Singh Brar told The Hindustan Times that he will be able to comment after inquiring into the matter.

The story has already gone viral, and obviously, the highlight of discussion has been the gigantic pay package offered by Google. Now, it is still unclear if the boy has been recruited by Google.

This reminds us of Kerala man who fooled the media for years by claiming to be a scientist. P.V. Arun from Manimala, Kerala claimed to have accepted a NASA offer as a research scientist. He later confessed to Deccan Chronicle about all his claims being blatant lies that were spread by him.  He has never been o the US or met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, as claimed earlier. He also faked about being close to internationally- acclaimed scientist, Barbara Lesko.
