Kamal Haasans first corruption expose Rotten eggs served to kids in mid day meals

Veteran actor Kamal Haasan, who has taken up state minister SP Velumani's challenge of exposing corruption in the state has come up with his first documented revelation. He had mobilised his fans to collect as much information and proof of the rampant corruption in the state of Tamil Nadu. His first expose came too soon in the form of rotten eggs served to children during mid-day meals.

The actor did not take too long to Tweet the pictures sent by his fans, which showed eggs marked with blue ink, floating in a huge pan. This was indication that the eggs were rotten or old and unfit for human consumption. However, denying all allegations were the government officials in Perambalur district where the school was located. Speaking to NDTV, Perambalur Collector V Santha said, "Every day they test eggs by putting them in water. Eggs which floated were kept separately to send for replacement. They've taken pictures of those." She further added that if the children had eaten rotten eggs, they would have fallen sick, but nothing of that sort happened.

The actor faced the government directly after a right wing group confronted him and the reality show Bigg Boss he was hosting on grounds of vulgarity. While responding to the group's criticism, Haasan had said, "There's corruption everywhere in the state". This angered minister Velumani who challenged Haasan to prove his allegations or face consequences.

Haasan requested his fans to report instances of corruption to the ministers online. The 62-year-old had also Tweeted, "Let a few lakh complaints reach ministers. Will you arrest all? Or will you respond? In the entire south there wouldn't be space for all in jails."

Following this, the email ids of Chief Minister Palaniswami and his cabinet ministers were removed overnight. Finance Minister D Jayakumar said to the upset fans that the ministers had individual websites and they could use them for complaints. Amid speculations that the actor may soon take to politics, the actor himself is showing positive signs of entering the bandwagon. His fans too think that he has already started rattling consciences in the political circuit.
