The Jammu and Kashmir administration Saturday sacked its four employees, including the son of Syed Salahuddin, the chief of banned Hizbul Mujahideen, and the wife of terror-funding accused Bitta Karate, officials said. 

NIA believes funds being raised by JeI are also channelised to proscribed terrorist organisations such as Hizb-ul-Mujahideen, Lashkar-e-Taiba and others. Following a high-level security meeting presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued a notification under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act banning the organisation.

As per the Home Ministry gazette notification, Mushtaq Ahmed Zargar (52) is the founder and Chief Commander of Al-Umar Mujahideen. 
 

Money for terror funding was sent by Pakistan and its agencies and even the diplomatic mission was used to fulfil the evil design, the NIA court said.

Police sources identified the terrorist as Feroz Ahmad Dar, a resident of Shopian. Sources said Dar was associated with Hizbul Mujahideen and had joined militant ranks four years ago in 2017.

Jammu and Kashmir Police informed that the security forces have currently cordoned off the entire area as the encounter is still going on.

According to reports, a resident informed Kandahar is wholly conquered, and the Mujahideen reached Martyrs' Square in the city.

 The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Friday said it has filed a chargesheet against seven terrorists of Tehreek-ul-Mujahideen (TuM) before a special Jammu court in connection with the Poonch conspiracy case of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K).
