Hiremath complains to Jaitley against DK Shivakumar, wants probe under Apex Court supervision

Energy minister DK Shivakumar who is facing the inquiry from Income Tax officials after the three-day raid on him and his properties, may now face further trouble. For, social activist SR Hiremath has sought a special investigation into Shivakumar against his alleged illegal business transactions and criminal activities against.

Hiremath has reportedly lodged a complaint with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to conduct a special investigation into these. In his 198-page complaint to the minister, Hiremath has reportedly mentioned about the alleged illegal business transactions of the minister and sought investigation into it. The complaint which has been couriered to the minister through the postal department may spell trouble for the minister, reports Kannada Prabha. 

It may be recalled here that after the 72-hour marathon raid on Shivakumar, his relatives and associates by the Income Tax sleuths, Shivakumar is also facing the inquiry by the IT officials over his alleged undisclosed properties worth Rs 300 crore. It was reported that the IT officials may explore the options of Benami Transactions Act (Prohibition) implemented last year by the Central government. Considering the alleged Rs 300 crore undisclosed properties of Shivakumar, the IT officials also contemplating to refer the case to Enforcement Directorate. However, so far, the ED has not taken up the case.

Meanwhile, Hiremath has complained to Union minister Jaitley and has sought - in his letter - appoint a special investigation team under the supervision of the Supreme Court to look into his alleged illegal business transactions and criminal activities. However, Hiremath has not disclosed the details of the letter.
