Chinese PLA Air Force is still present along the LAC: IAF Chief

Amidst the presence of Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control in Eastern Ladakh, Indian Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari on Tuesday said Chinese PLAF presence in those areas will not affect IAF's air operations.
In his maiden press briefing ahead of 89th Air Force Day, ACM Chaudhari said, "Chinese PLAAF is still present along the LAC. This is not going to affect the air operations. For the IAF, it will not make much difference."

A few days ago, Indian Army Chief Gen MM Naravane had said that the heavy presence of Chinese soldiers along the LAC is a matter of concern.Ā
On the alleged rape of a woman IAF officer in Coimbatore, he said, "Air Force law is strict. A two-finger test was not done on the lady Officer."
He also assured that a detailed inquiry will be conducted.
On integration and jointness, he said "We are fully committed for integration and jointness. The process and structure have to cater for future warfare.ā€¯
However, he also maintained that the doctrine of each service needs to keep in mind.

On induction of the S-400 air defence system, he said, "Hopefully, the first squadron should be inducted within this year."
On phasing out of fighter aircraft MiG-21 squadron, the IAF chief said, "There are four MiG 21 squadrons, plan to retire them all in the next three to four years."
