In Karnataka, an 18-year-old girl from Gundur village was found dead in a thorn bush, showing signs of severe injury and possible rape. The BJP has shared a letter allegedly signed by former RG Kar Medical College principal Sandip Ghosh, ordering renovations near where a 31-year-old trainee doctor's body was found on August 9. 

In a 14-day crackdown, Thrissur City Police arrested 312 people and seized large quantities of liquor, narcotics, and tobacco products. The raids led to the seizure of 475 litres of wash, 16 litres of arrack, and 392 grams of methamphetamine, among other substances.

At Kempegowda International Airport, 45-year-old trolley operator Ramakrishna was fatally stabbed by Ramesh from Madhugiri around 7:15 PM. The motive was an alleged 2021 affair between Ramakrishna and Ramesh’s wife, leading to their separation. Ramesh confessed and has been detained as police investigate.
