The Bengaluru Development Authority (BDA) which is reviving the Bellandur lake is now targeting apartments surrounding the lake for releasing untreated sewage to the lake and thereby choking it 

Though it has been decades since manual scavenging has been banned, the inhuman practice is still seen in North Karnataka, especially in Bidar.
